The Priory of Sérigné

The Prieuré de Sérigné is a special commission since its owner was a citrus collector and I had been recommended to him by the owner of the La Baudière garden who is also a great citrus lover.

The Priory of Sérigné is a village park, perched on high walls, overlooking the surrounding life. It has in its center a 19th century residence with, at the entrance to the park, venerable chestnut trees.

In front of the building, in fine weather, you can admire the collection of citrus fruits soaking up the sun. Moving away from it, we find at the end of the park, a wooded area very refreshing in the hot summer hours. When the season is right, you can enjoy a large bed of peonies.
